摘要 Neuropathic pain is defined as pain arising as a direct consequence of a lesion or disease affecting the somatosensory system.Detailed understanding of the underlying mechanisms of neuropathic pain will be helpful for the clinical treatment.Funded by the NSFC and CIHR,researchers from Xi'an Jiaotong University,University of Toronto,and Zhejiang University have Neuropathic pain is defined as pain arising as a direct consequence of a lesion or disease affecting the somatosensory system. Detailed understanding of the underlying mechanisms of neuropathic pain will be helpful for the clinical treatment. Funded by the NSFC and CIHR, researchers from Xi'an Jiaotong Uni- versity, University of Toronto, and Zhejiang University have revealed the critical roles of NMDA receptors in the insular cortex in the development of neuropathie pain.
