通道与走廊:“湖南苗疆”的开发与人群互动

Passages and Corridors:the Construction of the Upper Reach of the Yuan River and the Interaction among People in the Miao Frontier of Hunan Province

借助费孝通先生关于武陵山区"通道""走廊"的概念,对明清王朝通滇驿道维护与沅水上游支流开发、地方政府兴筑"边墙"与经营湖南苗疆地区的历史过程进行梳理和初步的讨论。立足于地方文献的解读,着重分析了不同历史时期湖南苗疆地区不同人群的复杂构成及互动,如何在以水陆交通网络连接起来的地域空间,留下其各自创造性活动的历史印记,不仅赋予"通道"以实质性内涵,而且构成可以整体把握的民族"走廊"的文化内涵;并以此区域研究的案例,作为主张地域及社会空间整体视野的"古苗疆走廊"研究的一个回应。

Based on Fei Xiaotong＇s concept of ＂passage＂ and ＂corridor＂ in his research on the Wuling mountainous area, the author conducts a tentative study on the historical process of maintaining the post roads leading to Yunnan, developing the upper reach of the Yuan River, local government＇s constructing ＂ the Frontier Wall＂. and managing the Miao frontier area of Hunan in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The literature review helps the author to put highlight on the constitution and interaction among different groups of people in the Miao frontier of Hunan province in different historic periods, who have left marks of creative activities in regional spaces connected by land and water transportation networks. The ＂passage＂ is endowed with an essential meaning and even a cultural connotation of national ＂corridor＂ which can be understood as a whole. The research on the region may be a ease study to respond to the research of the ＂ Ancient Miao Frontier Corridor＂ which focuses on an overall regional and social perspective
