Economic Growth and Equitable Distribution: a Research on Taiwan's Experience

台湾在战后创造的经济增长和分配平等共进的奇迹,对于其他发展中国家和地区在现代化过程中解决经济增长和社会公平的难题具有相当大的启发意义。台湾的经验表明,如果能在经济发展的过程中秉持民本主义理念,维护自由市场经济制度和保护私有产权,建立公平开放的社会流动机制,并着力从事社会建设,就能走出一条经济成长和民生改善有机结合、增长和均富并进的包容式发展道路。

Taiwan’s postwar economic growth and the miracle of equitable distribution have considerable instructive for other developing countries and regions to solve the problem of economic growth and equitable society in the process of modernization. Taiwan’s experience shows that, should we hold the people-oriented principle in the process of economic development, maintain a free market economic system and protect private property rights, establish a fair and open mechanism for social mobility and promote society development, we would open an inclusive development path combining economic growth, people’s livelihood improvement and equal distribution of wealth.
