Two severe obese men (BMI 39.8 and 38.8 kg/cm^2) were admitted because of chest discomfort and short of breath. Both patients had no previously diagnosed diseases. According to their medical histories, physical and lab examinations, we concluded that they suffered from cardiac dysfunction occurring due to morbid obesity. Combined therapies with weight loss and drugs were instituted. Half a year follow-up evaluation showed improved cardiac function based upon reduced body weight.
