蔡元培大学理念的当代价值

On the Contemporary Value of Cai Yuanpei's University Idea

蔡元培是我国近代史上著名的教育家、思想家和民主革命家。他对北大的改革气势恢宏,影响深远。特别是他改革北大的办学理念至今引领着中国当代大学的发展。从蔡元培大学理念的角度出发,结合我国当代大学理念之现状及大学理念建设过程中存在的一些问题,提出大学理念建设的一些设想。蔡元培大学理念启示当代高校要确立教授治校、大学自治的办学理念,以学生为中心,细化人才培养模式。

Cai Yuanpei was a renowned educationist, thinker and democratic revolutionist in the Chinese modern history. Hisgreat insight into the functions of university and a series of reforms in Peking University was far-reaching. Especially his idea of re-forming university management in Peking University has enlightened the development of all other contemporary Chinese universities.Based on Cai Yuanpei＇ s basic concepts of university running, this paper mainly analyzes the present situation of the contemporary u-niversity idea in China, points out the problems in establishing the university idea, and proposes some suggestions to establish uni-versity idea. Cai Yuanpei＇ s university idea has the enlightenment upon the schooling concept at universities, namely, the establish-ment of university running by professors and university self-autonomy, to deepen the talent cultivating mode based on the student-ori-entation.
