政论体语篇汉英口译中的模糊语——以外交部新闻发布会为例

Fuzzy language in political discourse in Chinese-English interpretation——taking foreign ministry press conference as an example

外交部新闻发布会传达国家立场和态度,语言既有政论体语篇的庄重严肃性,又有现场交际的协商性和模糊性。文体的现场口译难度很大,不仅要准确流利地传达源语,还要体现源语的风格。在现有研究成果的基础上,试图分析中国外交部发言人答中外记者问中的现场口译实例,有针对性地研究汉英口译中的模糊语,有助于译者最大限度地提升口译质量。

The foreign ministry press conference is given to state national position and attitude. The language has the characteristics of both seriousness and vagueness. It is required that the interpreter not only convey the source language fluently and accurately, but also reflect the style of the source language, hence making the live interpretation extremely difficult. On the basis of the existing research results, this paper attempts to analyze the strategies involved in the interpreting of the fuzzy language in Chinese foreign ministry spokesman＇s speech, with an aim to maximize the quality of Chinese-English interpretation in political discourse.
