Among distinguished sketch writers lived in the late Ming Dynasty , Zhang Dai was good at composing both poems and sketches .Employing spiritual connotation and expression techniques he endows his sketches with poetic characteristics , which makes his works like poems .This thesis studied the poetic characteristics of ZhangDai ’ s sketches by analyzing the Recollections of Taoan’s Past Dreams.
