摘要
在IT产业的两大领域Internet和移动通信飞速发展的环境下，为了使无线终端用户能享受到Internet和先进的数码服务，诞生了WAP技术。WAP实现了21世纪人们随时随地“上网冲浪”的梦想，是无线通信和Internet结合的最佳模式。详细地介绍了WAP的协议层结构，阐明了手机利用WAP上网的过程，同时对TCP／IP协议与WAP协议进行了详细比较。
： With the rapid development of Internet and mobile communications， wireless terminal users may enjoy the rich Internet content and advanced digital services through WAP． WAP makes 21st century people＇s dream of ″surf the net″ at anywhere and anytime come true． It is the best combining mode of wireless communications and Internet． The protocol architecture of WAP is introduced in detail in this paper and the procedure to access Internet through WAP is described． Meanwhile， WAP protocol is thoroughly compared with TCP／IP protocol．
