孔子学院是一个中西文化交流的平台。儒学(儒教)宣扬现世的"人",并不涉及"前世"与"来生",也不讲究"天堂"与"地狱",更重要的是儒学基本不讲"独立的个人",从来都把个人放在组织中进行研判,如"君臣父子""个人与国家"的框架。孔子本人的形象也完全世俗化、全景化,没有被虚拟化和神化。儒学没有"顶礼膜拜"的场所,儒学不具备宗教的特性,不是宗教。孔子学院不是教会学校,孔子学院不对世界构成宗教威胁。

Confucius Institute is a cultural exchange platform. Confucianism advocates the secular ＂ person＂, not involve the ＂ previous life＂ and ＂afterlife＂, not pay attention to ＂heaven＂ and ＂hell＂. More important is the Confucianism do not preach ＂ inde- pendent individual＂ basically, Always judge the individual in organization, such as the framework of ＂prince, minister, father, son＂ , ＂ personal and national＂. The image of Confucius himself is completely secular and panorama, not virtualization and deification. Confu- cianism doesnt have the place of ＂ prostrate oneself in worship＂. Confucianism does not have the nature of religion, not a religion. Confucius Institute is not a church school, will not constitute a religious threat.
