《魂系知青》中的人物群体大致属于愚公式的父亲、夸父式的光明追求者和洞察万物的智者这三种神话原型的置换,其中愚公式的父亲表现为造福后人的创业使命、炼狱生活的主动选择和无怨无悔的无私奉献三个方面;夸父式光明追求者的生命历程分为三个阶段:前期为理想追求者、中期为政治拷问者、后期为情感守护者;洞察万物的智者表现为知青生活的先知和超越时空的洞察者两个方面,它是远古社会神灵崇拜在文明社会留下的痕迹。
