大学英语写作中存在的问题及应对策略

Problems and Coping Strategies of College English Writing

英语写作能力训练是发展学生思维能力和表达能力的有效途径,也是衡量英语教学效果的标准之一。写作教学已经成为大学英语教学中不可或缺的重要组成部分,然而却是大学英语教学中的薄弱环节。由于英语教学的学时有限,以及依然严重的应付四、六级考试的应试写作教学,缺乏系统的写作训练,学生的基本写作能力得不到培养,学生的写作水平提高缓慢。针对这些问题,教师应结合学生的实际,改进教学方法,注重词汇积累,扩大学生的英语阅读量,培养学生的写作技能,同时改进作文评改方法,以提高学生的英语写作能力。

English writing training is an effective way to develop students＇ thinking and expression ability, also it is a standard to measure the effect of English teaching. The teaching of writing has become an indispensable part of English teaching in the uni-versity, however, it is the weak point of university English teach-ing. Due to the limited English teaching time, teachers need time to cope with university English level test, so they pay less atten-tion on English writing teaching. Aiming at these problems, teachers should combine theory with the reality of students, im-prove teaching methods, lay emphasis on vocabulary accumula-tion, expand English reading, cultivate students＇ writing skills, meanwhile improving the composition assessment methods,to im-prove the students＇ English writing ability.
