摘要
19世纪中后期中英之间围绕马嘉理案的谈判充满波折。威妥玛与英国外交部及英印政府、威妥玛与赫德、英国与其他列强、李鸿章与总理衙门在一些具体问题上的意见纷争与歧异,都不同程度地影响了案件的交涉进程与最终走向。通过对这些表象的分析,可以帮助观察当时中外交往中一些隐微的层面。
The negotiation over the Margary Affair between and turns. In the process of the negotiation, disputes and China and the United Kingdom was full of twists different views on some specific issues between Thomas Francis Wade and the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as British Indian government, Thomas Francis Wade and Robert Hart, Britain and the other Great Powers, Li Hong- zhang and Zongli Yamen, influenced the negotiation process and ultimate trend of the affair in varying degrees. Analysing these representations can help us to observe some implicit levels in the Sino -Foreign communications at that time.
