With the development of internet technology and popularization of smart phones,WeChat has evolved into a new network tool for social activities. In this context,WeChat exerts bigger and deeper influence on college students,and this will bring about challenges and opportunities for ideological and political education for college students in terms of its timeliness and effectiveness. Therefore,universities and educators must comply with the times,build a circle through WeChat with new educational principles,thus establishing a long- term mechanism for ideological and political education with the help of such WeChat circles.
