The popularity of portable electronic devices has intensified the fragmentation lifestyle that is described by postmodernism. The urban space has become further fragmented, dispersed and rootless. Subjects, accordingly, are turned into the battle field in which all kinds of media are tearing and fighting, and dissimilated tonodes in the media network, receiving and sending information simultaneously and consistently. In this context, this essay tries to discuss what traditional artsrep resented by theater arts could do, and whether theater arts could survive and reconstruct time and space, as optimists constantly publicize, in terms of retrieving the subiectivity and modernity of human beings.
