Huanghuai University,which transformed from a traditional university into the one focusing on application and technology,set an example for local e colleges and universities. By making the top-level design, changing the ideas, forming cooperative development leagues,reforming the majors and disciplines,innovating personnel training mode,building platforms for practice education and a team of double-professional teachers,and running schools with foreign universities,the university is transformed successfully. The experience and enlightenment tell us：we must seize opportunities to transform;specialty construction should be the cut-in and breakthrough point;construction of secondary school should be sped up to gather momentum for transformation;financing should be paid special attention to so as to ensure the material supplies for the transformation.
