The Necessity and Possibility of Inhabitant Participation in Chinese Urban Planning

以城市规划和居民参与的概念分析为基础，分别论述了居民参与城市规划的必要性与可能性。认为尽管居民参与并不能解决城市规划中的所有问题，但决策的方式最终要比决策的性质重要。

On the basis of concept analysis of urban planning and inhabitant participation, this paper discusses respectively the necessity and possibility of them, and thinks the way of decision－ making is more important than the nature of it although inhabitant participation can't solve all the problems in urban planning.
