This paper introduces the principle of explosion hazardous area classification and the conventional selection methods for explosion-proof electrical equipment. Taking the examples of some special cases in chemical engineering projects,this paper describes how to sort out the ideas of analysis to reasonably classify the hazardous area and select the appropriate electrical equipment.
