Measurement on Flow of a Curved Duct Based on Particle Image Velocimetry

摘要 用粒子成像测试技术(PIV)对正方形断面弯曲管内的泰勒-迪安流进行了可视化实验研究。除了外墙以外的三面墙以一定的角速度围绕着弯曲管的中心旋转,沿着管的轴向具有压力梯度。实验的照片从弯曲管入口处180°的位置进行拍摄,实验在一定的旋转速度(泰勒数)下通过改变流量(迪安数)来进行,几种类型的二次流被观测到。图表显示了在泰勒数与迪安数下获得的二次流动的类型。根据流动的类型不同,获得的二次流的速度与振幅谱差异很大。 The Taylor-Dean flow through a curved duct of square cross-section is experimentally investigated by using a visualization method, PIV ( Particle Image Velocimetry). Three walls of the duct ( except the outer wall) rotate around the center of curvature and an axial pressure gradient is imposed. Photographs of the flow in a cross-section at 180° downstream from the curved duct entrance are taken by changing the flux ( Dean number) at a constant rotational speed (Taylor number) of the duct walls. Several types of secondary flow are detected. The diagram showing types of secondary flow patterns in the Taylor-Dean number plane is obtained. It is found that the secondary flow velocity and spectrum differ greatly according to the types of secondary flow patterns.
