As an important translator of Goethe＇s works in modern China,Guo Moruo translated many Goethe＇s works,such as Faust,The Sorrows of Young Werther,and 24poems or their segments.Guo experimented artful or creative translation of Goethe＇s The Sorrows of Young Werther,characterized by his personal style.While the majority of his translated poems were out of date,the translation of The Sorrows of Young Werther is still favored by people today and become a classic in modern China＇s translation history.
