Public Life at School and Citizen Education

公民在公共生活中成长。公共生活是公民教育的重要途径,它孕育着公民的公共精神、公共理性、公共道德和公共参与能力。培养公民的学校教育应该成为一种公共生活。然而,立足于公共性,检视现实的学校生活,却存在着公共性的阙如和公共生活空间、平台和公共文化的缺失,这不利于公民公共性的培养。为改变这种状况,学校需要自觉地建构一种公共生活。从生活实践的角度看,学校公共生活的建构,需要公约的引导,需要借助于公共话语,通过公共交往和公共参与而实现。

Public life is where citizens grow and it is an important way of citizen education,as it fosters public spirit,public reason,public morality and public participation. School education which develops citizens should be a public life. However,viewed from publicness,the real school life lacks publicness,public living spaces and platforms and public culture,which is not conducive to the cultivation of citizens. In order to change this situation,the school needs to build a public life. From the perspective of real-life practice,the construction of public life at school should be guided by conventions and norms,and realized by virtue of public discourse,communication and participation.
