As a revolutionary organization against the Qing Dynasty in ideology and culture , Nanshe itself underwent drastic ide-ological changes while transforming superstructure .Nanshe’s organization already bore characteristics of modern intellectual com-munities.Nanshe members committed themselves in founding schools and teaching , different from old-style private schools in essence .The next commitment area was newspaper editing and freelance writing , a brand new career form .Nanshe thus served as a booster in quickly transforming feudalistic literati to modern intellectuals .
