Based on a brief introduction to the working process of rapier transmitting system ,the paper applies kinematic principles to analyze systematically the working mechanism of its main components such as the space universal coupling and the rocker and the amplifier of the crank. The law of motion of the rapier concluded shows that a proper use of the space universal coupling plays a key role in improving the motion of the rapier and adjusting the working process.
