The hedge is one of language＇s prominent characters.It plays a vital role in our daily life and as one of communication strategies,influence us.The hedge is to use indirect ways to express views and makes the communication goes smoothly.This paper divides it into phonological hedge,lexical hedge,syntax hedge and discourse hedge.Based on cooperative principle,deliberate misinterpretation and politeness principle,this paper analyzes the frequency and function of hedges in Taijiong.It intends to gain some inspirations to guide our communication in daily life.
