《学术英语》课程的定位思考:研究型大学国际化之路

EAP Course in China:an Inevitable Path of Research-based Universities

我国高等教育国际化战略要求大学英语教学改革中开发建设《学术英语》课程。通过分析我国当前本科生的英语语言需求可知,《学术英语》课程并不需要在全国范围各高校普及,而应根据不同高校学生的需求在部分参与国际化教育战略的研究型高校和国际学位项目中建设,并发展成为核心基础课。研究型高校在组织《学术英语》教学改革时应将学生通用英语的学习成果作为基础目标和进阶的必要条件,有步骤地进行普通学术英语和专业学术英语教学,确保学生学习成果与他们在将来进修和工作中的实际需求密切联系,使《学术英语》课程建设成为研究型大学国际化建设的重要支撑。

Globalization of higher education calls for the incorporation of EAP（English for Academic English） courses into university curriculum.Needs analysis among university students suggested that EAP courses should not be compulsory for all,but apply most often to research-based universities and international programs where learners demonstrate strong needs.It is advocated that these institutions develop EAP courses on the basis of learner achievements in EGP（English for General Purpose） and proceed with EGAP and ESAP step by step towards a real-life communicative needs in their future professional areas.EAP courses are destined to be developed as a supporting tool for educational globalization.
