建国初期我国海外护侨工作及其启示——以东南亚地区为例

The Work of Protecting Overseas Chinese and its Enlightenment in the Early Years of New China——A Case Study of Southeast Asia

针对建国初期东南亚地区频繁发生的排华事件,新中国政府曾以政治抗议、外交交涉、停止经济援助、武力还击等方式予以回应,以维护华侨的合法权益。由于此期中国整体实力有限且缺乏护侨经验,加之受国内外环境的种种限制,新中国政府的种种护侨努力成效不大,但却给我们留下了若干启示。

In view of the incidents occurred frequently in Southeast Asia in the early days of new China, the new Chinese government had to take political protests, diplomacy, stopping economic assistance and military force to protect the legitimate right and interests of overseas Chinese. Because of the limited overall strength of new Chine and lack of experience of protecting overseas Chinese, together with the restrictions from domestic and foreign environment, the trying work of protecting overseas Chinese in the period of new China was less obvious effect, but left some enlightenment for us.
