曹顺庆教授的英文力作《比较文学变异学》是比较文学变异学理论在英语世界的首次"发声"和集中呈现,不仅体现了中国学者在比较文学学科理论建构上的独特见解,亦填补了世界比较文学学科理论的空白,具有深远意义。本文首先对著作进行了简要回顾,进而阐明该著所具有的学科理论价值及研究方法的双重意义。

The Variation Theory of Comparative Literature by Professor Cao Shunqing is the debut of the Variation Theory of Comparative Literature in the English world. It is of great significance in the sense that it not only demonstrates the insights of Chinese scholars in the theoretical construction in Comparative Literature, but also fills the theoretical gap in world Comparative Literature. This thesis, based on a general introduction of the book, elaborates its dual significance both in the aspect of discipline theoretical construction and the research me, thod adopted therein.
