论翻译中本土文化的缺失——以韩国电视剧中文翻译为例

Lack of local culture in translation:a study of the Chinese translation of the TV plays of the Republic of Korea

翻译是人类社会的一项重要活动。要通过翻译把某种语言所表达的思想内容用另一种语言加以再现,翻译就应该注重在新的文化语境里的传播与接受,即注重本土文化。在翻译过程中,译者首先必须尽量完整而准确地接受原作的信息,其次要完整而准确地将此信息传递给接受者,以此达到翻译的目的。而近年韩国电视剧中文翻译,不仅存在误译现象,还因本土文化缺失出现的直译现象,以导致意思的错误和不能完整、准确表达原意,不能传达出特有的文化意味。

Translation is an important activity of human society. If the original meaning of the source text is expected to be translated faithfully in the translated text, the translator should pay attention to the local culture with a consideration of the transmission and ac- ceptance of the translated text in the new cultural context. In the process of translation, the translator should first try to understand ac- curately the source text before translating it accurately for the target - language readers. The recent translations of the TV plays of the Republic of Korea have mistranslations and the most serious is the poor word - for - word translation with a lack of local culture which often misleads the audience.
