The Committee of Overseas Chinese Affairs of the Nanjing National Government during Anti-Japanese War

抗日战争爆发后,南京国民政府实施了以动员海外华侨积极参与和支援祖国抗战为中心的华侨政策。作为承担国民政府侨务工作的主要机构,侨务委员会不断加强侨务机构的设置,推动对华侨抗战的宣传与指导,辅助华侨教育与研究的发展,积极保护和救助华侨,给予海外华侨巨大的物质和精神支持,不仅促进了抗日救国事业的发展,同时极大地增强了海外华侨对祖国的认同感。

After the outbreak of Anti-Japanese War, the National Government carried out a series of policies of Overseas Chinese, which have focused on calling for Overseas Chinese to join actively and to support the war of resistance against Japan. As the main organization of undertaking the affairs concerning Overseas Chinese in the National Government, the Committee of Overseas Chinese Affairs strengthened the settings of the Overseas Chinese affairs institutions continuously, promoted the Anti-Japanese War propaganda and the guidance to Overseas Chinese, assisted the education of Overseas Chinese and the research developing, protected and assisted Overseas Chinese positively. And also, they offered Overseas Chinese giant supports in the material and the spiritual. All of these not only promoted the development of Anti-Japanese War and saving the nation, but also greatly enhanced the sense of identity of Overseas Chinese to the nation.
