Through the measurement of volume of coal pile and bulk density,this paper introduced the inventory method and the inventory-making calculation of profit and loss in coal yard.The necessities to learn coal piling method well was indicated,and to analyze how the bulk density affected by different variaties of coal and to draw the curve of ash content and bulk density,thus the accuracy of measurement and determination of coal pile bulk density in coal yard could be ensured.
