The “Tonghai”mode and the “Kunyang”mode are two main brand modes at Kunming International Flower Auction Market (KIFA).In the “Tonghai”mode, all the farmers with the same brand supply their flowers to KIFA as an identical supplier;whereas in the “Kunyang”mode, all the farmers with the same brand supply their flowers to KIFA as independent suppliers.Based on the actual data from KIFA,the paper simulates the price trend and fluctuation trend in the sequential auction for these two brand modes by using a linear regression. The simulation results show that the price trend and the fluctuation trend in the “Tonghai”mode is smoother than that of the “Kunyang”mode. It is concluded that the quality among different LOTs in the“Tonghai”mode is steadier than that of the “Kunyang”mode.
