This paper introduced the ground subsidence situation of a shield section starting tunnelling of Chengdu metro,analyzed the causes leading to ground subsidence from the geology understanding,construction technology,use equipment and other aspects,and put forward the matters needing attention of shield starting tunnelling,so as to accumulate experience for similar project construction.
