摘要
美国后现代主义小说的经典之作《白噪音》,通过细腻的文本描写,呈现出消费时代的种种社会景观,其中既包括商城、超市、大众传媒和广告设计,又涵盖家庭社会关系、"空中毒雾事件"和死亡恐惧。这些消费景观的文本呈现,深刻揭示了后现代消费社会的典型特征,探索了当代人的生存境遇,并展现了后现代小说的独特魅力。
White Noise, a classic work of the American postmodemist literature, through its detailed textual descriptions, represents such consumerist spectacles as shopping malls, supermarkets, mass media, advertising design, family and social relations, toxics, and the fear of death. These spectacles in this novel profoundly expose the typical characteristics of the post-modem consumer society, explore the living conditions of modem men, and clearly show the peculiar charm of the post-modernist novels.
