城市行政级别与城市群经济发展——来自285个地市级城市的面板数据

City Administrative Level and Economic Development of Metropolitans

城市行政级别是政府干预的产物之一,本文以地市级城市面板数据为基础,考察了城市行政级别对城市群经济发展的影响。通过全样本分析和京津冀、长三角、珠三角、成渝城市群的对比分析可知,城市行政级别越高,则城市群的经济发展越好。政府行政干预不仅直接影响经济,而且还通过间接作用于人口、投资、财政支出等内容来影响经济,且这种间接影响表现为城市群的差异化特点,如城市行政级别对投资的干预在长三角城市群最强,城市行政级别对政府支出的干预在京津冀城市群最为明显等。

Based on the panel data of prefecture level city, this paper studies the impact of city＇ s administrative level on city group＇ s economic development. The conclusions are that, （ 1 ） the higher administrative level of the city, the better economic development of city group. （2） Government intervention not only impacts the economic performance by direct effects, but also by indirect effects on population, investment, government spending, etc. （3） The indirect effects assume city groups＇ differentiations.
