The Status of Shanghai International Shipping Center and Construction of Maritime Law

上海正在成为重要的国际航运中心 ,需要有完备的海商法制来指导它的运作。中国海商法虽然是一部反映现代海事海商运行规则的法律 ,但是它仍然有许多不完善之处。本文对我国海商法需要与国际通行规则进一步接轨的问题 ,如电子提单问题。

Shanghai is becoming an important international shipping center, therefore it will need a complete maritime legal system for guiding it’s motion. Although China Maritime Law is the one which reflects current modern maritime rules, it has some imperfections.This article has proposed a series of suggestions for improvement in the aspect of further connection between Chinese maritime legal system and common international rules, for instance, the questions of electronic bill of lading and responsibility of delay in delivery of cargo, etc.
