The convergence of the CATV network,the computer network and the PSTN network is the ultimate trend with the development of technology and the increasing demand for the information service.The paper analyses the status of today's three kinds of networks in China,and presents a comparative study of the three types of IP transmitting technology used in convergence of the three kinds of networks.
