L carnitine is an essential matter of the body as protein,fat and water do.It is also a natual matter exsists in animal body and human body.With the advance of research, L carnitine has been accepted and used widely.On the basis of consulting lots of reference,the paper summarizes the physiological function and application of L carnitine.
