在某些社交场景,使用"婉言"是必要而悦人心意的。在某些共同的主题上,英语"婉言"和中文"婉言"能够表达相同的情形。由于不同的宗教和政治信仰、传统习俗、人生观、价值观、心理因素,英语和中文"婉言"的运用在社会生活的不同方面各有差异。
In some social background, the use of “euphemism” is a necessary and desirable way in life. In some common topics, “euphemism” in Chinese and in English expresses the same connotation. However, due to the different religious and political beliefs, traditions and custom, values and psychological factors, the application of“euphemism”could be different in the context of English and Chinese.
