摘要
建立了硅基微环光学调制器特性模型,利用一种动态分析方法对器件的调制特性进行了模拟与分析。该动态分析方法将动态过程(时域)离散化,具有易于计算机编程的特点。利用该方法研究了环内相位调制与耦合调制方式下器件的光谱特性及调制带宽,对其调制机理进行了解释与分析,并重点对两种调制方式的啁啾特性、调制效率、调制深度,以及调制带宽等性能进行了详尽的分析对比。研究对于高性能硅基微环光学调制器的实现及应用具有一定的理论指导意义。
The model of silicon-based micro-ring optical modulator is built and its modulation characteristics are simulated and analyzed by a time domain dynamic method.The dynamic analytical method discretizes the transmission process and has the advantage of computer programming compatibility.The spectrum and modulation bandwidth of silicon-based micro-ring optical modulator are studied by the dynamic analytical method for two modulation methods of micro-ring phase modulation and coupling modulation and the modulation mechanisms are explained and analyzed.The characteristics of chirp property,modulation efficiency,modulation depth,modulation bandwidth are analyzed and compared in detail.The research results provide a reference for realization and application of high performance silicon-based micro-ring optical modulator.
