The application of PAE wet strength agent, polyamide-polyamine epichlorohydrine resin, in colored bobbin paper used in textile industry was introduced in this paper. The wet strength improvement of PAE on waterleaf paper, sized paper, sized paper with different acid value and colored sized paper, the effect of PAE use together with other auxiliaries and the effect of PAE dosage on wet strength were studied. The results show that PAE has a good wet strength enhancement for sized paper of water resistance.
