中国的体育学与传统学科及其他相关学科一直存在一种潜在的隔阂。由于遭受到传统强势学科的规则话语限定,中国的体育学至今仍未获得具有普泛性意义的学术身份认定。而以术、艺、器见长的体育学一直遭受到强势学科的漠视。体育学长期在国学和西学之间徘徊,无法固化其学术重心。中国近期体育学科的繁荣具有虚妄性。体育学者知识储备的结构性缺失、体育刊物办刊准则的自闭性以及体育院系与国际体育学术机构的脱轨态势都成为制约中国体育学健康发展的桎梏。中国体育学界相对封闭的生存状态弱化了体育学术的自我发展能力。体育学的学科滞后性还体现在自身一向缺乏自主性、自觉性和独立性的研究方法与体系。体育学的革命性发展需要体育学术界高层人士强力的革新意识,同时也需要对体育学术机构的人员构成须进行合理调整,而体育学术刊物秉持更为开放的学术理念则是促使体育学科真正成熟的另一动因。

There has been a potential barriers between the China＇s sports science and other tradi-tional branches of learning .China sports science has not been accepted by the academic circle because of suffering the limitation of the traditional strong disciplines .China＇s sports science has been ignored by the strong disciplines for its feature of skill ,art techniqueand .The China＇s sports science has been wandered between the ancient Chinese literature search and the western one and cannot be cured its academic focus .The China＇s sports science has the falsity boom in recent years .The knowledge structure deletion of China＇s sports scientists and the dereismof the sports magazine and the gap state between the China＇s sports colleges and the international sports circles have weakened the China＇s sports science .The closed state of China＇s sports science weaken its development for shorting of the independent research methods and research system .The decision maker of the China＇s sports science will improve its academic level and the China＇s sports science need to be changed in personnel system and more open spirit .
