摘要
转移修饰是一种常见修辞格,是把修饰语从本应修饰的甲类词移到不相干的乙类词上,以达到生动而又新颖别致的效果。本文对英语转移修法的语义修饰关系、语法结构关系,及其修辞效果进行探讨分析,目的是为了能更准确地理解和使用这种修辞格,使语言表达形式更简洁,内容更生动,含义更丰富。
Transferred epithet is a common rhetorical device, in which a modifier is transferred from the word it should rightly modify to another which it does not really apply or belong to in order to achieve a vivid and impressive effect. This article intends to discuss and analyze the deep relations between the modifier and the central word semantically and grammatically of this device with the purpose of further using and understanding it and making sentences polished and colorful.
