新闻漫画多模态语篇的社会符号学解析——以新闻漫画《内部装修》为例

A Social Semiotic Approach to Multimodal Discourse Analysis of News Cartoon:A Case Study of News Cartoon‘Interior Decoration'

基于韩礼德的社会符号学理论以及Kress和Van Leeuwen的视觉语法理论,对新闻漫画《内部装修》的意义构建及符际关系进行多模态分析。在这理论框架上的定性研究表明,系统功能语法中语言的三大纯理功能,即概念、人际和语篇功能,也可以延伸到新闻漫画中的非语言符号上。语言符号和非语言符号可以协同互补,共同构建语篇意义。

Based on Halliday＇ s Social Semiotics and Kress ＆ Van Leeuwen＇ s Visual Grammar, this paper makes a multimodal discourse analysis on a news cartoon ＇ Interior Decoration＇. Adopting this theoretical framework, this qualitative study reveals that the three meta-function of systemic grammar, namely ideational, interpersonal and textual function, can be applied to non-linguistic symbols. Language symbols and non-linguistic symbols can complement each other, building the meaning of multimodal discourse together.
