Semiotic Ecology: Different Natures in the Semiosphere

本文提出了"符号生态学"的术语,试图对生物符号学和生态符号学进行清楚的区分,以证明建立生态符号学这一子学科的必要性。本文对人与自然功能圈的关系进行了论述,并在此基础上提出了"多重自然"的概念,由此建立了生态符号学研究的基础,并进一步讨论了人对待自然的不同方式以及符号的可持续性,试图为生态符号学研究找到与人类文化研究相结合的方向。

This paper propose the term ＂semiotic ecology＂, and attempts to make a distinction between biosemiotics and ecosemiotcs, so as to claim that it is necessary to establish ecosemiotics as a branch of semiotics. After giving a detailed analysis of relationships between human and their functional cycles, it raises the concept of multiple natures and thereby establishes a fundamental idea of ecosemiotcs. Different ways of dealing with nature, as well as the sustainability of signs are discussed in this paper, in attempt to find a way to combine ecosemiotics as well as cultural studies.
