摘要
现代大学治理涉及政府、学校、教师、学生、社会公众和市场等内、外部相关权力主体,其组织隐喻因主体的不同而有所差异。不同的组织隐喻会使大学做出不同的治理模式选择,选择结果代表了治理模式背后的价值取向。美国学者鲍曼·李认为,大学有"工厂"、"家庭"、"丛林"和"剧场"四种隐喻,它们可能存在于不同类型的大学之中,也可能存在于一所大学的不同情境之下,这反映了该组织"科层"和"知识"的双重属性。
Modern university governance involves internal and external power subject relevant government, schools ,teachers,students ,the public ,markets and others. So it will produce different metaphors with different subjects, and those make different choices of university governance models. These choices represent values behind the governance models. American scholar Bowman Lee said that there are four metaphors as "factory", "family", "jungle" and "theater" for universities. They may exist in different types of universities, and also may exist in different situations of the same university. They are reflecting the dual attributes as "bureaucratic" and "knowledge" of universities.
