摘要
本研究通过对300名初中生进行场独立和场依存认知风格的调查,结果显示:初中生英语学习认知风格场独立型和场依存型的分布情况为场依存型稍多于场独立型;男生场独立型认知风格较初中女生稍多。认知风格和英语学习成绩的关系分析显示:场独立型学习者在英语句法、阅读理解、完形填空这三种题型方面显著优于场依存学习者,而场依存学习者在听力成绩方面优于场独立学习者。在总成绩方面,场独立学习者要优于场依存学习者。这就需要英语教师在平时的教学中,适当关注场依存型学生,采取有效的课堂教学方法,提高他们的英语学习成绩。
An investigation into field dependence / independence cognitive style of junior high school students was carried among 300 students. The methods of quantitative and qualitative are employed in the study. The results showed that field-dependent learners are morn than field-independent learners. Male students tend to be more field-independent while female students prefer field independence cognitive style. The result of the correlation between cognitive styles and English performance shows that field-independent learners perform better in syntax, comprehensive reading and cloze tests than field-independent learners significantly while field-independent learners do better in listening. English scores of field-independent learners are higher than field-dependent learners. The teachers need to pay more attention to field-dependent students and take effective measures to enhance their English learning competence and performance.
