关于英语教学低效现状的思考

On the Inefficiency in English Teaching

语言是社会约定俗成的交际工具，英语教学的主要目标应是培养学习者运用英语进 行自然、得体、流畅交流的能力，而我国的英语教学却本末倒置，因而出现耗时多，收效低 的现状。为此，本文拟通过分析英语教学高投入低产出的成因着手，重点探索如何提高英 语教学的质量和效益，真正提高英语的交际能力，以适应未来社会对人才的高要求。

Language is a customary communicating tool. The main goal of English teaching is to cultivate learners' ability to communicate naturally, appropriately and fluently in English. However, our English teaching activities lay too much stress on linguistic competence instead of communicative competence, thus resulting in inefficiency. This paper, through analyzing the causes of inefficiency, mainly makes a study of how to improve teaching quality, efficiency and learners' communicative competence so that they can be adaptive to the future society.
