On the Two Mechanisms and their Relationship of Diffusion of Technological Innovation under Evolutionary Perspective

演化视角下的技术创新扩散包括"扩"和"散"两个方面,分别对应着"自然选择"和"适应性学习"两种不同的演化机制,二者在对个体的假设条件、是否需要"记录"中介、对适应性差个体的淘汰和复制成功的标准上均有所不同,但是在技术创新扩散过程中交织在一起共同发挥重要作用,时间上不分先后,空间上难分你我。因此,完整的理解技术创新扩散过程需要综合研究这两种演化机制,偏废和混淆均不可取。

The diffusion of technological innovation includes ＂expanding＂ and ＂spreading＂ two aspects, corresponding to two different evolutionary mechanisms called ＂natural selection＂ and ＂adaptive learning＂. The two evolutionary mechanisms differ far from individual assumptions, the need of ＂record＂ intermediary, and the elimination of poor adaptable individuals out and the criteria of replicate success. However, the two mechanisms are intertwined in the process of technological innovation diffu-sion and play an important role together, they are in alphabetical order on time, are difficult to distinguish you and me on space. Complete understanding of technological innovation diffusion does require a comprehensive study of the two evolutionary mechanisms, neglecting or confusion is undesirable.
