摘要
2013年6月,为配合麻城至竹溪高速公路建设,湖北省文物考古研究所等对宜城下姜家边子遗址进行了发掘。遗址时代主要为后石家河文化时期,出土遗物主要是陶器和石器。后石家河文化时期的遗存在枣宜平原并不多见,本次发掘充实了枣宜地区新石器末期的考古材料,为研究后石家河文化时期整个江汉地区的文化变迁与社会格局提供了不可多得的宝贵资料。
The Hubei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology held this excavation on June 2013, in cooperation with the construction of the Macheng-to-Zhuxi Highway Project. This site is dated to the post-Shijiahe period, and the major artefact types recovered are pottery and stoneware. Post-Shijiahe period sites are rare in the Zaoyi Plain, thus this excavation may increase our knowledge on, and provide valuable materials for the study of cultural evolution and social structure in the Jianghan Region.
