重庆忠县两汉墓葬

The Burials of the Han Dynasty in Zhongxian County,Chongqing

2006年和2007年,北京大学考古文博学院等对重庆市忠县东北长江北岸山前台地上的石匣子、周家院子、洞天堡、田坝河墓地进行了发掘。此次发掘的西汉墓均为长方形竖穴土坑墓,东汉墓为长方形券顶砖室墓,墓内出土遗物有陶器、铜器、铁器和钱币。这批墓葬的发掘,对研究这一地区汉代的文化具有一定的学术价值。

In 2006 and 2007, the College of History and Social Study, Chongqing Normal University, School of Archaeology and Museology, Peking University and Chongqing Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology conducted excavations to the Shixiazi, Zhoujiayuanzi, Dongtianpu and Tianbahe Cemeteries located on the pediment terrace of the north bank of the Yangtze River in the northeast of Zhongxian County, Chongqing. The tombs of the Western Han Dynasty recovered in the excavations were all rectangular vertical earthen shaft pit tombs and that of the Eastern Han Dynasty were all rectangular brick-chamber tombs with vaulted ceiling, the grave goods unearthed from which were potteries, bronzes, iron wares and bronze coins. These grave goods showed that the dates of these tombs were from the early Western Han through the early Eastern Han Dynasty and some of the tomb occupants might be the descendants of the Ba people. The excavations are valuable for the researches on the cultures of this region during the Hart Dynasty.
