Usually metaphorical meanings of a word is not interpreted as its regular meanings. The same sentence may be understood as a metaphor or a lie, the difference between which is that the former is a correct implication of the speaker. Metaphors with epistemological value are not a statement of preexisted similarity but a way to discover truth by creating similarity. With development of human society and science, metaphors are becoming an increas- ingly important epistemological tool.
